The Kogi State government in central Nigeria has introduced a new monthly newsletter, “Lugard House Monthly,” designed to enhance public access to information regarding Governor Ahmed Ododo’s policies and programs. The initiative, spearheaded by Ismaila Isah, the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, aims to bolster transparency and keep citizens informed about the current administration’s activities. This move follows the successful launch of the “Kogi Annual Media Report” in April 2025, which garnered significant positive feedback. The inaugural edition of “Lugard House Monthly” focuses on the key achievements and developments of the Ododo administration during May 2025. It covers a range of areas, from infrastructure projects to social welfare programs, providing what officials describe as a clear and accessible record of government actions and their impact on the people of Kogi State. Mr. Isah stated that the newsletter will serve as both a communication tool and a comprehensive directory of the governor’s engagements and accomplishments. He characterized it as a significant step in media innovations from his office, aimed at promoting the government’s vision. The publication is set to be a consistent source of verified information, released monthly. It is intended to be a valuable reference for stakeholders, media organizations, and researchers keen on monitoring the state’s governance. The Special Adviser expressed confidence that “Lugard House Monthly” will further highlight the achievements of Governor Ododo’s administration, which he noted has been widely lauded for its dedication to improving the well-being of Kogi residents across various sectors.
