Dubai – Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, attended the opening day of the prestigious Dubai Airshow 2025 on Monday, where he led a delegation focused on showcasing the nation’s progress in defence technology.
The biennial event, widely regarded as a premier global platform for the aerospace, space, and defence industries, was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Emir of Dubai and Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.

Minister Badaru, accompanied by Air Vice Marshal AY Abdullahi, representing the Chief of the Air Staff, toured key facilities and display stands featuring leading figures in aerospace manufacturing.
A press release from Nigeria’s Ministry of Defence stated that the Nigerian delegation is aiming to “highlight the nation’s advancements in defence technology” and reinforce its commitment to active participation in global defence discussions and collaborations.

The Dubai Airshow serves as a crucial venue for fostering business growth, showcasing innovative technologies, and encouraging international cooperation between political leaders, innovators, and government officials from around the world.
