The new Permanent Secretary of Nigeria’s Ministry of Defence, Gabriel Aduda, has pledged to build upon the achievements of his predecessor, Ibrahim Kana.
Speaking during the handover ceremony at Ship House in Abuja, Ambassador Aduda expressed his commitment to taking the ministry to the “next level”.
As a product of a military background family, Ambassador Aduda stated that his new role feels like a “homecoming”. He praised the outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kana, for his achievements and assured that his efforts will not be in vain.

A statement signed by Asonye Daberechi on behalf of the Director Information and Public Relations, quotes Ambassador Aduda as emphasizing the importance of honesty, commitment, courage, and excellence among the ministry’s staff. He also solicited their cooperation, stressing that he prioritizes their welfare.
The new Permanent Secretary aims to add value to the system by building on the foundation laid by Mr. Kana. With his vision and leadership, Ambassador Aduda is poised to drive the Ministry of Defence towards greater heights.
