Nigeria’s Aviation Minister Approves Airstrip for Canaanland, Bishop Oyedepo’s Church

Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has confirmed the approval of a private airstrip for Canaanland, the property housing the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, in Ota, Ogun State. The church’s founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, shared the news with his congregation during the Tehillah Night Special Edition at Covenant University Chapel.

Bishop Oyedepo celebrated the development, stating that the airstrip will enable him to travel directly from the church premises, eliminating the need to fly to the airport first. This will also provide a convenient landing and parking space for members with private planes.

Key Benefits of the Airstrip

  • Improved Transportation: Enhanced accessibility for worshippers and visitors, especially during large events
  • Increased Convenience: Direct travel from the church premises, eliminating airport stops
  • Economic Benefits: Potential boost to local economy through increased air traffic

The airstrip aims to improve transportation for the church’s programs, which attract numerous worshippers worldwide. Bishop Oyedepo encouraged his congregation to find their place in God’s plan, citing Covenant University graduates who fly him as examples.

The minister’s media aide, Tunde Moshood, confirmed the approval, stating that the minister approved the private airstrip.
