Electricity consumers in Ijebu-Ode and surrounding areas in Ogun State, Nigeria, will experience a temporary disruption to their power supply on Friday due to scheduled maintenance work on critical transmission infrastructure.
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) announced that engineers will carry out annual preventive maintenance on the Sagamu/Ijebu-Ode 132kV line switchgear equipment.
The exercise is scheduled to run for three hours, between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM local time.During the service period, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) will be unable to receive power along the route to supply its local customers.
TCN apologized for the disruption, noting that the routine servicing is essential to ensure long-term grid stability and prevent system failures.
Full power restoration is expected shortly after the maintenance work wraps up at 1:00 PM.
