Nigeria’s domestic intelligence agency, the Department of State Services (DSS), has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening strategic collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to combat corruption and financial crimes.
The pledge was made during a courtesy visit led by the DSS Director of Internal Security, Hakeem Abiola, to the EFCC’s Kaduna Zonal Directorate on Wednesday, 16 September.
Speaking during the meeting, Mr. Abiola explained that the initiative aims to enhance inter-agency synergy, expand operational intelligence sharing, and combine tactical capabilities against economic subversion across the region.
Responding on behalf of the anti-graft agency, the Acting Director of the EFCC Kaduna Zonal Directorate, Assistant Commander Ahmed Ghali, welcomed the visit as a reflection of strong institutional ties.
Mr. Ghali assured the DSS delegation of the EFCC’s full commitment to mutual assistance and seamless intelligence exchanges to disrupt financial crimes.
