The Armed Forces of Nigeria neutralized two terrorists and arrested 33 suspects—including informants, spies, and logistics suppliers—during nationwide operations between 4 and 10 September.

In the Northeast, troops of Operation Hadin Kai received 17 surrendering Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters and family members in Borno State. The surrendering insurgents cited severe hunger and harsh conditions in their Mandara Mountains hideouts. Troops also rescued a woman abducted in 2025 alongside her one-year-old child near Gwoza while disrupting pharmaceutical and spare parts supply lines meant for insurgent enclaves.
Across the North-West, Operation Fansan Yamma conducted raids in Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Kaduna states. Highlights included an air-supported assault on a terrorist camp in Katsina’s Yantumaki Forest, the interception of a female ammunition courier carrying 300 live rounds along the Birnin Gwari axis, and the rescue of a nursing school staff member and his family during an attempted abduction in Kaura Namoda.
In southern operations, troops of Operation Delta Safe raided a camp in Akoko-Edo, Edo State, arresting four suspected kidnappers and disrupting a ransom drop in Esan West. Meanwhile, Operation Udo Ka personnel seized firearms and arrested suspects planning attacks against security agencies in Enugu and Anambra states.
Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede commended troops for the operational successes and urged the public and community leaders to maintain strong intelligence-sharing partnerships with security forces.
