TMV hails Tinubu’s Economic Reforms

A media group supporting Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has backed official claims that the administration’s ongoing economic reforms are reversing years of underperformance.

The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) issued a statement agreeing with remarks made by Vice-President Kashim Shettima at the Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja, where he represented the president.

In the statement, TMV officials Chukwudi Enekwechi and Segun Ogedengbe acknowledged that while the administration had begun under difficult economic conditions, there were “no shortcuts to economic growth.”The group highlighted several areas of reported progress, noting that government policies were stabilising the economy, boosting local manufacturing, and driving job creation. They also pointed to advancements in agriculture—specifically improved rural infrastructure, irrigation, and better links between farms and markets—as well as a strategic shift towards domestic processing in the solid minerals sector.

The group expressed confidence that the administration’s broader framework would enable Nigerian businesses and innovators to compete on a global scale across technology and financial services.
