A political group, the Tinubu Stakeholders Forum (TSF), has challenged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar to answer questions regarding his record in office before labeling the current administration as “thieves.”
The group’s response follows recent comments by Atiku, a leading opposition figure eyeing the 2027 presidential election, accusing the ruling government of stealing the election and the economy.
In a statement signed by TSF Chairman Ahmad Sajoh and Secretary Danjuma Sada, the forum argued that political accountability must work both ways and called on the former vice president to submit his own stewardship to public scrutiny.
TSF specifically pointed to Atiku’s tenure as Vice President and Chairman of the National Council on Privatization (NCP), raising questions over the valuation and sale of national assets, as well as past allegations regarding the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).
The forum stated that the 2027 presidential election should focus on concrete policy proposals, foreign exchange strategies, and economic reforms rather than exchanging accusations, urging all contenders to defend their past records before the electorate.
