Olubadan’s Praise Highlights Success in Anti-Terror War, Says TMSG

The Tinubu Media Support Group (TMSG) has described recent praise by the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, regarding President Bola Tinubu’s response to the Oyo State abduction saga and the swift prosecution of suspects as reflective of the administration’s improved counterterrorism focus, actionable intelligence, and inter-agency synergy.

In a statement signed by its Chairman Emeka Nwankpa and Secretary Dapo Okubanjo, the group noted that President Tinubu demonstrated rare, decisive leadership in the successful rescue of the kidnapped school children and their teachers.

“We note that Oba Rashidi Ladoja, who led Oyo State traditional rulers on a courtesy and thank-you visit to the President, commended him for refusing to heed the terrorists’ demand for the release of their leaders in detention in exchange for the school children and their teachers,” the group said. “We specifically acknowledge the Olubadan’s assertion on how inter-agency coordination is becoming the turning point in the war against terrorism in Nigeria on the President’s watch.”

The group added that the Olubadan’s remarks align with broad public sentiment across regional and religious lines, signaling growing confidence that security challenges are being aggressively tackled nationwide.

TMSG also commended the speed and diligence of judicial proceedings involving captured suspects, including Ansaru commanders.

“In fact, there have been several such arraignments where the suspects pleaded guilty and appropriate judgments were instantly pronounced on them at the courts at a speed that is downright unprecedented to dispense justice to the victims,” TMSG stated, inviting the international community to observe the administration’s commitment to fighting criminality under the rule of law.

The group highlighted that this domestic progress is reinforced by international recognition, citing a recent commendation from US President Donald Trump praising President Tinubu’s efforts in combating terrorism and promoting security across Nigeria and the West African subregion.
