Nigeria’s national oil company, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd), has announced a new senior management team, effective immediately. The appointments follow the recent naming of the company’s Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) and Board of Directors.
In a statement released on Friday from Abuja, NNPC Ltd named an eight-person leadership team to steer the recently restructured state-owned energy giant.
Bashir Ojulari will head the team as GCEO. Other key appointments include Rowland Ewubare as Group Chief Operating Officer and Adedapo Segun as Group Chief Financial Officer.
The company has also appointed Olalekan Ogunleye as Executive Vice President for Gas, Power & New Energy, reflecting a growing global focus on these sectors.
Further appointments to the senior management team are:
- Udy Ntia as Executive Vice President Upstream
- Mumuni Dangazau as Executive Vice President Downstream
- Sophia Mbakwe as Executive Vice President Business Services
- Adesua Dozie as Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer
The NNPC transitioned into a limited liability company in July 2022, a move aimed at improving efficiency and attracting investment into Nigeria’s crucial oil and gas sector. This new leadership team will be tasked with navigating the challenges and opportunities within the global energy landscape.
