Arsenal have reduced the gap with Premier League leaders Liverpool to six points after a 3-1 victory over Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Mikel Arteta’s side trailed to Bryan Mbeumo’s first-half goal but equalized through Gabriel Jesus before the break. Jesus has now scored six goals in his last four games.
Arsenal secured the win with quick-fire goals from Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli after half-time, moving into second place above Nottingham Forest.
The Gunners have been unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions, including four successive wins. This result provides evidence that Arsenal are ready to compete with Liverpool in the title race.
