Kogi State Governor Congratulates New NUJ President and Vice President

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has congratulated Alhassan Yahaya on his election as the new president of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). The election took place at the triennial delegates conference held in Owerri, Imo state capital.

According to Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Governor Ododo described the new NUJ president as a worthy media professional committed to the welfare of journalists in Nigeria. The governor commended the orderly conduct of union members during the election and urged the new president to promote an all-inclusive agenda, prioritizing the welfare of union members ยน.

Governor Ododo also congratulated Alhaji Momoh Jimoh Adeiza, General Manager of Radio Nigeria Prime FM, Lokoja, on his election as the Vice President of the NUJ in Zone D. The governor noted that MJ Adeiza is an astute journalist who has brought honour and recognition to Kogi State over the years.

The governor wishes the new NUJ president and other members of the new national executive committee a successful tenure in office.
