K1 De Ultimate Regrets Airport Incident, Clears the Air on Flask Controversy

Fuji music star King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as K1 De Ultimate, has apologised for an incident that took place at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on August 5, 2025.

In a statement he personally signed, the musician expressed regret for the controversy. However, he clarified that a flask he was carrying contained only water, not alcohol, as had been reported. K1 explained he suffers from chronic dehydration and carries the flask on a doctor’s advice.

He added that the flask was empty during two security checks and was only filled with water at the airport lounge before he went to the tarmac. K1 insisted he had not boarded the aircraft, let alone been deboarded, and said this could be verified through CCTV footage.

The singer extended his apologies to the Presidency, the Ministry of Aviation, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and ValueJet. He affirmed his commitment to his role as a cultural ambassador for Nigerian music and thanked his fans for their support.
