Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo to Receive Award for Human Capital Development

Abuja, Nigeria – Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State is slated to receive a prestigious award from Blueprint Newspapers, recognizing his efforts in human capital development.

The award, part of the publication’s “Impact Series Awards,” celebrates Nigerian public officials whose policies have demonstrated tangible socio-economic benefits.

Blueprint Newspapers’ management formally notified Governor Ododo of his nomination in a letter signed by its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Salisu Umar.

The newspaper commended Governor Ododo for his administration’s focus on “people-focused governance,” specifically highlighting advancements in education, youth empowerment, and healthcare access within Kogi State.According to the organizers, the selection process was rigorous, involving a comprehensive review of the performances of state governors and other public officials across key economic sectors. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, in Abuja.
