Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu Cuts Ministers’ Convoy Sizes

Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu has ordered ministers, ministers of state, and agency heads to limit their official convoys to three vehicles. No additional vehicles will be assigned.

In a statement, the President outlined cost-cutting measures aimed at reducing government expenditure. This follows January’s directive reducing presidential entourages on foreign trips from 50 to 20 officials and local trips to 25.

Key Directives:

  • Maximum three vehicles per convoy
  • Five security personnel: four police, one DSS
  • National Security Adviser to review military and paramilitary deployments

Affected officials must comply immediately.
