Troops of Sector 2 under Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued five kidnapped females, including a mother and her infant child, following an intelligence-led operation in the Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State, north-western Nigeria.
Military forces deployed rapidly to intercept an armed group moving through the Madaci Forest area after receiving credible reports on their movement. The tactical intervention disoriented the kidnappers, allowing troops to secure and rescue the victims unharmed.

The rescued individuals—comprising the mother, her infant, and three minors and young adults—originated from the Danja and Funtua Local Government Areas. They were subsequently handed over to the Chairman of Bakori Local Government Area, Hon. Abubakar Musa, to facilitate reunification with their families.
Army authorities confirmed that clearance operations and aggressive patrols are continuing across the Madaci Forest axis to deny criminal groups freedom of movement and restore security in the region.
