Abuja, Nigeria — Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, has met with the senior leadership of the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning to tighten cooperation on national development and international funding.
The courtesy visit, which took place in Abuja on Monday, included talks with the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, and the Minister of State, Doris Uzoka-Anite.
Discussions focused heavily on aligning international development efforts with the federal government’s economic priorities.
According to a statement by foreign ministry spokesperson Kimiebi Ebienfa, the ministers reviewed strategies to boost national development planning and support Nigeria’s broader foreign policy objectives.
Key areas of focus included securing sustainable funding for Nigerian foreign missions and establishing a more coordinated approach to engaging international development partners. The talks also aimed to integrate diplomatic strategies with the administration’s “Renewed Hope” domestic agenda.
