Nigerian Postal Service Intercepts Cannabis Consignment from Thailand

LAGOS, NIGERIA — The Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has intercepted a consignment containing seven pouches of cannabis that arrived in Lagos from Bangkok, Thailand. The illicit substance was found concealed inside a duvet cover.

The shipment was addressed to a recipient in Lagos. NIPOST has withheld the details of both the sender and the recipient as a full investigation is now underway by Nigeria’s security agencies.
