For completed registrations, which combine both online pre-registration and physical sign-ups, the total stood at 509,929 as of Friday, 12 September 2025. Here, the gender gap is wider, with women accounting for nearly 55% of the total (280,171) against men at just over 45% (229,758). The trend of youth engagement is even more pronounced in this category, with young people aged 18 to 34 making up over 74% of completed registrations (378,132), and students representing almost 39% (196,529). The statement was signed by Sam Olumekun, the National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee.
