Nigeria’s diplomatic standing abroad is fundamentally linked to effective grassroots governance and development at home, according to Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
A statement signed by Raphael Oni, Special Assistant on Digital Media and Public Diplomacy to the Minister, said the Minister disclosed this while speaking on Tuesday at the State House Banquet Hall in Abuja. The event was the inaugural national conference of local government chairmen and traditional leaders. Ambassador Enikanolaiye emphasized that foreign policy serves as an extension of internal stability and economic productivity.
The conference, organized by the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, was centered on extending President Bola Tinubu’s economic and social programs across the country’s 774 local government areas (LGAs).
