Eintracht Frankfurt sign Nigeria midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Club Brugge

German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika from Belgian champions Club Brugge on a five-year deal.

The 25-year-old Super Eagles international has committed his future to the German club until June 2031, with the team describing him as a crucial addition to their long-term squad development.

Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krösche praised the midfielder’s tactical discipline and track record following the official announcement on Sunday.

“Raphael Onyedika impresses us not only with his robustness and strategic understanding of the game, but above all with his exceptional consistency,” Krösche said. “He has been a regular starter for several years and has celebrated numerous titles in Belgium.”

Krösche added that Onyedika’s European experience and age profile made him an ideal fit for the squad’s structure, noting that “at 25 years old, he still has great potential for development.”

Onyedika arrives in the Bundesliga following a decorated spell in Belgium, where he won two league titles, the Belgian Cup, and the Belgian Super Cup with Club Brugge. He previously won the Danish Cup during his time with FC Midtjylland.
