Four arrested in Ondo over viral assault video

Four suspects have been arrested in Ondo State for allegedly assaulting a resident and filming the attack without his consent before sharing it on social media.

The victim, Boluwaji Temidayo, reported the incident to the Okuta Elerinla Police Station on Thursday, stating a group of people attacked him on July 21.

Following the report, Ondo State Commissioner of Police Felix Ohagwu ordered a tech-driven forensic investigation, which led to the arrest of four suspects: Gbemisola Ariyo, Babatunde Eniola, Adams Tobiloba, and Fasusi Bunmi.

Police confirmed that the four individuals are currently in custody and have made confessional statements.

Efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest remaining accomplices, with police stating that all involved will be charged to court once investigations are completed.
