Nigeria Boosts Air Force Capacity in Sokoto

Nigeria’s Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing national security, particularly in the North-West region.

Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, and Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Sokoto, inspected the ongoing development of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) 119 Composite Group in Sokoto State.

Mr. Matawalle praised NAF personnel’s dedication and professionalism, emphasizing the Federal Government’s support for operational efficiency.

“The Nigerian Air Force plays a critical role in safeguarding our nation. We will ensure you have necessary resources to counter security threats,” he stated.

Governor Ahmad Sokoto commended federal-state synergy in addressing security challenges and pledged continued cooperation.

The visit underscored the government’s resolve to bolster NAF’s capacity in combating regional insecurity.

Present at the briefing were the Unit Commander, GOC 8 Division Brigadier General I.A Ajose, and other top military officers.
