Martins Odeh, Head of Corporate Communications at the Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA), has been elected Chairman of the Ai’Agboko Community Development Association, Abuja branch.
In a statement signed by Ogah Akatu, the association’s Public Relations Officer, on Tuesday, the group announced that Odeh’s election comes with a mandate to revitalise the body and support grassroots development projects across 11 villages in the Ai’Agboko Clan of Otukpo Local Government, Benue State.
Odeh, a veteran journalist who previously spent 15 years at the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), highlighted severe infrastructural deficits across the region, including shortages of potable water, shelter, motorable access roads, and basic healthcare facilities.
Engagement and unity
Addressing members following his election, Odeh pledged to lead with transparency and collaborate with private investors, development partners, and political leaders to complement state-level development efforts.
“No chairman can achieve meaningful progress alone,” Odeh said. “Success requires the commitment, ideas, resources, and active participation of every member. I therefore call on each of us to renew our dedication to this association.”
