The newly appointed Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM), Mark Ogah, has vowed to “fully mobilise” the state in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and the continued leadership of Governor Ahmed Ododo.
In an appreciation statement following his formal appointment, Mr Ogah described the role as a “call to service, sacrifice, and results-driven leadership”. He expressed gratitude to the movement’s leadership, including Director General Tosin Shoga and the group’s Grand Patron, Seyi Tinubu.
‘Grassroots engagement’
Mr Ogah outlined a strategy focused on deep grassroots engagement across all local governments and wards in Kogi State. He emphasized that the movement remains firmly committed to the “Renewed Hope” agenda, aimed at securing what he described as a “more prosperous future” for the people.
The City Boy Movement has recently been ratifying state and diaspora directors as part of a nationwide consolidation effort ahead of the 2027 general elections. Mr Ogah stated that the Kogi chapter would be “strategically positioned” to advance the movement’s vision.
Continuity at the core
Central to the director’s message was the theme of political continuity. Mr Ogah pledged “total support” for the re-election of Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, arguing that alignment between federal and state leadership is critical to deepening developmental gains.
“We will work relentlessly,” the statement concluded, “to consolidate continuity, stability, and sustainable development.”
