The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it has fully restored bulk electricity supply to parts of Abuja following a transformer trip at the Apo Transmission Substation on Wednesday morning.
The outage was resolved at approximately 19:33 local time on 9 September after engineers completed maintenance work and diagnostic tests on the affected 100 MVA power transformer.
According to a statement issued by TCN management, four 33kV feeders—H31, H33, H35, and H37—are back in service.
The restoration returns power supply to customers of the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) served by the Apo substation.
TCN thanked affected residents for their patience and reiterated its commitment to maintaining grid stability.
