NAF Air Strikes Repel Terrorist Attack in Borno State

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully thwarted a terrorist attack on troops in Rann, Borno State. The assault, which took place in the early hours of August 8, 2025, was repelled through coordinated air strikes.

According to a statement signed by Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the Director of Public Relations and Information for the Nigerian Air Force, the operation was carried out under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK). Acting on credible intelligence, the NAF’s air component identified and engaged groups of fleeing insurgents, reportedly neutralizing several of them with precision munitions.

The swift action is said to have restored calm to the area and underscored the NAF’s commitment to providing close air support, protecting ground troops, and neutralizing insurgent threats.
