Tinubu Names New Permanent Secretaries in Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service

Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has appointed eight new permanent secretaries to fill existing and impending vacancies in various states and geopolitical zones.

The new appointees, who were selected after a diligent process by the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, are:

  • Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu (Abia State)
  • Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip (Bayelsa State)
  • Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia (Ebonyi State)
  • Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam (Enugu State)
  • Kalba Danjuma Usman (Gombe State)
  • Usman Salihu Aminu (Kebbi State)
  • Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso (Rivers State)
  • Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State)

This is the second set of eight permanent secretaries appointed by President Tinubu, following the first set appointed in June from states including Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Bauchi.

President Tinubu has urged the new permanent secretaries to demonstrate greater commitment, diligence, and innovation in serving the nation
