US President Joe Biden has reportedly given Ukraine the green light to use long-range missiles supplied by the US to strike Russia, according to recent media reports.
In a video statement, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky acknowledged these reports but refrained from confirming or denying whether the US had officially given its approval. Instead, he cryptically remarked, “the missiles will speak for themselves”.
This development comes on the heels of a large-scale overnight attack by Russia on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which also resulted in civilian casualties.
The attack, which saw 120 missiles and 90 drones launched across all regions of Ukraine, claimed the lives of at least 10 people. Notably, some missiles reached Ukraine’s westernmost part, highlighting the widespread nature of the assault
