The All Progressives Congress (APC) has denounced a purported Magistrate Court ruling disqualifying its Edo State gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, as “fake” and “fabricated.”
Key Points:
- Fake Ruling: APC claims court document is forged
- Desperation Tactics: Alleges opposing parties are spreading disinformation
- Magistrate Court Disclaimer: Confirms ruling did not originate from their court
- Call for Action: Urges law enforcement to investigate and prosecute perpetrators
In a statement, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka warned against attempts to subvert the electoral process and appealed to Edo State voters to remain vigilant.
“The circulated ruling is fake, a fabrication, and an act of desperation in the face of imminent defeat,” Morka stated.
Senator Okpebholo remains the APC’s standard-bearer for Saturday’s Edo State Gubernatorial Election, according to the party.
This development comes amidst tensions ahead of the election, with concerns over electoral integrity and fairness.
