Nine Arrested in Abuja Internet Fraud Crackdown

Abuja – Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested nine individuals suspected of internet fraud in the Federal Capital Territory.

The arrests, announced on Tuesday, took place at two locations: Sunnyvale Estate in Lokogoma, and Open Heaven Estate in Dawaki. During the operation, EFCC officers seized four luxury cars, laptops, iPads, and mobile phones, believed to be instruments of the alleged fraudulent activities.

The EFCC, in a statement, confirmed the arrests, stating that the suspects would be charged in court once investigations are completed. The operation is part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to combat cybercrime in the region.
