Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, has reaffirmed his commitment to defeating criminals in the state, vowing to sustain the ongoing clearance operation. This assurance came as he distributed the second batch of 100 operational vehicles to security agencies at the government house in Lokoja.
Governor Ododo emphasized that his administration will continue to deepen its fight against insecurity and criminality, improving the state’s security architecture. The distribution of hundreds of operational vehicles to security agencies aims to enhance their capacity and operational efficiency against criminal elements.
The State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara, noted that the vehicle distribution supports security officers in the ongoing clearance operations, aligning with the state government’s determination to ensure security of lives and property.
Commissioner of Police Bethrand Onuoha thanked Governor Ododo for his commitment, stating that the vehicles will be used to combat criminals and criminalities. Commissioner for Information and Communications Kingsley Fanwo added that the state government has resolved to take drastic measures against criminal elements to preserve law and order.
This development is part of Governor Ododo’s zero-tolerance stance against criminals, previously demonstrated through initiatives like the rescue of kidnapped victims and the employment of local hunters to combat crime. With the state government’s renewed commitment, Kogi State is poised to become increasingly inhospitable to criminal activity.
