Abuja is set to host the highly anticipated MAKEMS Jewelry Exhibition on Saturday, 29 December 2025, bringing together high-quality, handcrafted jewelry creations for collectors and enthusiasts.
The annual event, which celebrates Nigerian craftsmanship and contemporary design, will be held at the W O Kilaso Hall, Glowing Ages Academy, located in the Kaura District of the capital city.
The exhibition comes as the company continues to run a high-profile “Makem Jewelry Auction” for a bespoke item known as the “Royal Amethyst & Baroque Gold Prestige Suite.” This masterpiece, featuring raw amethyst, hand-forged gold, and rare baroque pearls, is targeted at collectors demanding unique and opulent statement pieces. Interested parties can join the ongoing auction bid via the dedicated portal.
The MAKEMS exhibition focuses on jewelry that is “meticulously made with love,” blending traditional techniques with modern aesthetics to produce items designed as timeless heirlooms. The theme for this year’s event is “SHOP! Sparkle!! And Shine!!!” emphasizing the emotional and artistic value behind each piece.
Dr. Wumi Fagbeyiro, Director of Operations at MAKEMS Jewelry, stated that attendees will have the opportunity to explore a diverse range of styles. This includes luxury-inspired earrings, minimalist bracelets, and bold statement pieces, all featuring ethically-sourced gemstones and high-quality materials.
The exhibition is structured to be family-friendly, featuring displays of statement pieces modeled in various themes, such as traditional wedding looks, white wedding attire, and collections specifically designed for children.
Dr. Fagbeyiro stressed that the event promotes the curation and appreciation of handmade jewelry, offering something for both seasoned collectors and first-time visitors ahead of the holiday season.
