ABUJA, Nigeria—Galaxy Backbone (GBB), Nigeria’s primary digital infrastructure and shared services provider, has announced it has been recertified by the International Standards Organisation (ISO) across four key global standards.
The recertification, which followed a rigorous independent audit, confirms GBB’s adherence to global benchmarks in quality management, business continuity, service management, and information security. This is a significant development as the company is responsible for providing secure and reliable digital services to a wide range of government and private sector clients.
GBB’s Managing Director and CEO, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, said the achievement goes “beyond compliance,” stating it is “a statement of trust.” He added that it ensures services like cloud hosting, connectivity, and cybersecurity meet the “highest international standards.”
The certifications are expected to boost confidence among stakeholders, including government ministries and agencies that handle sensitive data, as well as private enterprises. The company says this will strengthen Nigeria’s digital transformation and contribute to a more secure and resilient digital economy.
The achievement is also seen as a direct contribution to the Federal Government’s strategy to digitise public sector operations and foster innovation.
