A Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, Sadiq Saleh Osude, has been appointed as a special envoy for investment by the County Government of Nyandarua in Kenya. His role is to attract high-value investments to the region, with a particular focus on the Middle East.
The partnership was formalised at the recent Soft Conference in Dubai, organised by Gaf Africa and Eki Co-Net. Mr. Osude, who attended as a special guest, met with Governor Moses Kiarie Badilisha to align on their shared goals.
The appointment is valid for an initial 24-month period and mandates Mr. Osude to identify and engage with credible investors. He is tasked with facilitating partnerships in key sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, tourism, real estate, and manufacturing. The letter of appointment was signed by Governor Badilisha.
The appointment comes as Mr. Osude gains public attention for his humanitarian and political activities in his home country. He is the founder of the SOS Foundation, a non-profit organisation known for community development work such as providing clean water and scholarships.
Mr. Osude’s philanthropic work is a central part of his recently announced political ambitions. He plans to contest for the governorship of Nasarawa State in Nigeria’s 2027 election. His campaign, with the slogan “Service Today, Progress Tomorrow,” positions his community work and his new role in Kenya as a model for his political goals.
His appointment in Kenya highlights his business network and experience as he seeks to transition from humanitarian work to a public leadership role.
