ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has reassigned the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, to a new role in Nigeria’s Delta State.
DCP Adejobi will now serve as the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Operations in the Delta State Command. The move was announced by the Nigeria Police Force as a demonstration of the leadership’s confidence in Adejobi’s “wealth of experience, professionalism, and capacity to further strengthen operational strategies.”
In a statement, the IGP commended Adejobi for his service, noting his “remarkable contributions to strengthening the image and communication strategies of the Nigeria Police Force.” The police leadership expressed confidence that he will bring the same level of dedication to his new posting.
An announcement regarding a new Force Public Relations Officer is expected soon.
