Lokoja, Nigeria – The Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Ododo, has congratulated the state’s citizens on its 34th anniversary, describing the milestone as a time for “sober reflection and renewed hope.” In a message, the governor said the anniversary offers an opportunity to assess the state’s journey since its creation in 1991 and to chart a brighter course for the future.
Governor Ododo highlighted the state’s progress in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural development, noting that despite past challenges, significant strides have been made. He stated that while the state has not yet reached its full potential, it has moved far beyond its initial beginnings.
The governor affirmed his administration’s commitment to building a future where every citizen has access to quality education and healthcare, where industries can thrive, and where agriculture ensures food security. He called on the public to take pride in the state and to work together to strengthen unity and deepen progress for future generations.
