Arsenal Set to Sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace

LONDON, ENGLAND – Eberechi Eze is expected to join Arsenal in a £60 million deal after the club reached an agreement in principle with Crystal Palace. The move comes despite Tottenham’s efforts to sign the forward, with sources telling BBC Sport that Eze favors a return to Arsenal, where he began his youth career.

According to sources, a deal for Tottenham to sign the 27-year-old had been agreed upon between the clubs on Wednesday but was not finalized. Arsenal, who have concerns over a knee injury to attacker Kai Havertz, see Eze as a valuable new option in their attack.

Eze, who scored 14 goals across all competitions for Crystal Palace last season, has reportedly expressed his desire to join Arsenal before the transfer window closes on September 1. He joined Crystal Palace from Queens Park Rangers in 2020 for £19.5 million.
