Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced it is investigating a prominent musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, following a complaint from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The musician, widely known as KWAM 1, is accused of “unruly conduct” that allegedly obstructed the safe operation of an aircraft.
According to a police press statement, the incident reportedly occurred on August 5, 2025, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has instructed the Airport Police Command to conduct a “thorough investigation” into the matter.
The NPF stated it is committed to upholding safety and security in the country’s aviation sector and will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure strict compliance with aviation laws.
