Abuja, Nigeria – Nigeria’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, has commended the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) for its “transformational strides” and industrial drive.
Following a tour of several NASENI facilities in Abuja, including the Innovation Hub and technology sites, the minister praised the agency’s leadership for its commitment to promoting “Made-in-Nigeria” products. The visit was part of a broader government effort to assess local industrial capacity and support the “Nigeria First Policy,” which aims to boost domestic production and create jobs.

During the tour, Dr Oduwole was shown several “100 per cent made-in-Nigeria products,” including a new factory set to produce pharmaceuticals such as HIV vaccines. She also took a ride in NASENI’s locally-produced anti-ballistic missile armoured vehicle.
A statement signed by Chima Akwaja, Deputy Director, Information, NASENI described the Agency’s work as a potential driver of national economic transformation and urged it to continue its commercialisation drive. The Executive Vice Chairman of NASENI, Khalil Halilu, called for stronger collaboration with the ministry and stated that the agency has over 40 market-ready products capable of competing globally.
