Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has announced a further extension for the enforcement of the tinted glass permit for vehicles, moving the deadline to October 2, 2025.
The decision was made by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, in response to a significant increase in applications for the permit. The NPF said the extra time would allow for a thorough review of all applications to ensure permits are only issued to “eligible and qualified individuals,” citing national security concerns.
The police force emphasized that the only official platform for applications is https://possap.gov.ng and warned citizens to disregard any unofficial channels. The statement, signed by Force Public Relations Officer DCP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, also encouraged the public to report any cases of extortion or unauthorized processing of the permits.
