Nigeria’s Aviation Authority Calls for Prosecution of Fuji Star K1 De Ultimate

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has asked the country’s Attorney-General and Inspector-General of Police to investigate and prosecute veteran Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, widely known as K1 De Ultimate. The request follows an incident on a domestic ValueJet flight on Tuesday, which is said to have disrupted safety procedures.

According to a statement issued by the NCAA, the musician’s alleged conduct during ValueJet flight VK201 contravened Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations. The agency has called for a “thorough investigation” and “appropriate prosecution” in line with applicable laws.

In a further measure, the Director General of Civil Aviation, Captain Chris Najomo, has advised the Airline Operators of Nigeria to place K1 De Ultimate on a no-fly list for all commercial flights. The NCAA stated this advisory is in line with international best practices and will remain in effect pending the outcome of the official investigation.

The Authority emphasised that aviation safety and discipline are non-negotiable, and it will not tolerate acts that could endanger lives or compromise flight operations.
