West Africa Concludes Key Internet Governance Forum in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria – The 17th West African Internet Governance Forum (WAIGF) 2025 concluded on Friday at the Digital Economy Complex in Mbora, Abuja. The five-day event brought together stakeholders from across the region to address critical issues shaping the digital future.

The forum’s central theme was “Building a Resilient, Inclusive, and Safe Digital Future for West Africa.” It aimed to significantly boost regional capacity in internet governance, fostering vital discussions on key issues and emerging trends.

The event featured several successful segments, including the School of Internet Governance, the dynamic Youth Internet Governance Forum (YIGF), and crucial main events such as the African Parliamentary track on Internet governance.

Diverse experts, policymakers, and private sector representatives from across West Africa actively participated, driving the forum’s success and underscoring the region’s growing digital influence.
