Paris St-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has recovered from a hamstring injury and will be available for Wednesday’s crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal.
The French international had been a concern for the French side after being substituted during the second half of last week’s first leg at the Emirates Stadium.
Dembele, 27, who scored the decisive goal in that 1-0 victory in north London, subsequently missed PSG’s Ligue 1 defeat to Strasbourg over the weekend. However, he returned to training with the squad on Monday.
Speaking ahead of the return fixture in Paris, PSG manager Luis Enrique confirmed Dembele’s fitness. “He’s been training with us for the last two days,” said Enrique. “You saw him on Tuesday – a normal training session for him. He’ll be available on Wednesday.”
Dembele has been a key player for Paris St-Germain since his move from Barcelona in 2023 and is their leading scorer this season, having netted 33 goals across all competitions. His availability will be a significant boost for the French champions as they look to secure a place in the Champions League final.
The tie is finely balanced following PSG’s narrow victory in the first leg, setting up a potentially thrilling encounter at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening. Arsenal will need to overcome the deficit without one of their key midfielders, who is suspended for the match.
