A prominent Nigerian government advisor is spearheading an initiative to boost European investment in Africa, with a major conference planned for Dubai. Chief Sunny Ofehe, a senior advisor to the Delta State Governor on diaspora investment, has been appointed Chairman of the Organising Committee for the upcoming SOFT Conference in Dubai. Known for his work in fostering connections between the African diaspora and international business, Chief Ofehe recently hosted a high-level meeting in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
A statement signed by Godwin Aigboviose-Omage, the Founder of Godwin Aigboviose Foundation and the brain behind the Conference said the gathering brought together leading European CEOs, investment fund managers, civil society figures, and European Union representatives to discuss the SOFT Conference and the growing economic potential of Africa, particularly the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. During the Rotterdam discussions, Chief Ofehe underlined his commitment to encouraging European investors and business leaders to not only participate in the Dubai conference but also to explore tangible partnerships aimed at driving innovation, sustainable practices, and inclusive growth across Africa.”This conference is about more than just meetings; it’s about constructing pathways for investment and sharing Africa’s narrative of opportunity, driven by technology and mutual benefit,” Chief Ofehe stated.
The SOFT Conference in Dubai is envisioned as a key platform for international networking, the formation of strategic partnerships, and the facilitation of investment deals. Dubai’s central location is expected to attract a diverse global audience. Chief Ofehe’s efforts have already generated significant interest among European business leaders keen to engage with African opportunities.
Organisers report a growing number of registrations from CEOs and institutional investors as the conference draws closer, attracting increasing international attention.
The SOFT Conference Dubai is being positioned as a pivotal event with the potential to significantly influence Africa’s investment and innovation landscape. With Chief Comrade Sunny Ofehe leading the way, the conference aims to be a catalyst for meaningful engagement and impactful collaborations.
