The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has welcomed the appointment of Bayo Ojulari as the new Group Chief Executive Officer and the newly constituted Board of Directors by President Bola Tinubu.
The company also expressed its deep appreciation to the outgoing GCEO, Mr. Mele Kyari and the former board members for their service to the company and the nation.
In a statement released by Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi O. Soneye, NNPC Ltd. acknowledged Mr. Kyari’s “leadership and tireless efforts,” stating that he has “left an indelible mark” on the organisation. The company conveyed its gratitude for his “outstanding contributions.”
NNPC Ltd. extended its best wishes to Mr. Kyari and all departing board members for their future endeavours.
This announcement follows the earlier news of a significant overhaul of the NNPC board, as reported by Africa Eye News, with President Tinubu appointing a new leadership team to steer the state oil giant. The change in leadership comes as Nigeria aims to boost efficiency and attract greater investment into its crucial oil sector.
