Nigerian Defence Minister Praises Tinubu’s Security Agenda on President’s Birthday

Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, commending his approach to national security.

In a statement released on Saturday, Mr. Matawalle praised President Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope Agenda,” particularly its impact on bolstering national security, which he attributed to the dedication of the Nigerian military.

Mr. Matawalle stated that President Tinubu’s “exceptional leadership and decisive actions” have led to a significant improvement in the safety and security of Nigerians “within a remarkably short period.” He added, “President Tinubu has taken bold and transformative steps that are already yielding positive results in our collective pursuit of peace and safety.”

The Defence Minister suggested that history would acknowledge President Tinubu’s “courageous and intentional efforts” to improve Nigeria across various sectors for a better future, noting that the positive outcomes of these initiatives are becoming increasingly apparent.

“On this special occasion of his birthday,” Mr. Matawalle said, “I, on behalf of my family, the Ministry of Defence, and all Nigerians, wish the President long life, good health, and the fortitude to continue making the courageous decisions necessary for our nation’s development during this pivotal time.”

The Minister concluded by saying that President Tinubu’s “transformative policies strengthen our faith in Nigeria” and saluted his “excellence.”
