The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced its commitment to partnering with organizations focused on providing legal support to marginalized and oppressed communities in Nigeria.
Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Albino Foundation in Abuja on Friday, the NBA President, Afam Osigwe, emphasized the importance of ensuring that vulnerable individuals have access to free legal services to protect their rights.
Mr. Osigwe highlighted the need for collaboration with groups like the Albino Foundation to amplify their impact and ensure that those often overlooked by the legal system receive the assistance they need.

In response, the founder of The Albino Foundation Africa, Jake Ekpele, welcomed the NBA’s commitment and called for the development of inclusive programs that specifically address diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
He urged the NBA to intensify its efforts in providing legal aid for those without a voice in society, particularly women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
The meeting concluded with both organizations agreeing to explore deeper collaborations to advance the rights and access to justice for marginalized communities in Nigeria.
