Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammad Abubakar, has visited the Governor of Katsina State, Umar Radda, to express his condolences following the death of the governor’s mother.
Hajiya Safara’u Umar Bare-Bari Radda passed away recently, and Minister Abubakar travelled to the Government House in Katsina to offer his sympathies.
During the visit on Thursday, Minister Abubakar, on behalf of himself, his family, the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, and all staff of the Ministry of Defence, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to Governor Radda, his family, and the people of Katsina State during this time of grief.
In his remarks, the Defence Minister prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased, grant her mercy, and bestow upon her a place in Paradise. He also offered prayers for the Governor and his family, asking for strength and fortitude to bear this profound loss.
Minister Abubakar was accompanied by Idris Jahun, a former Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, along with Abubakar Jallo and Mas’ud Naruwa, who are members of the Katsina State House of Assembly representing Hadejia and Babura respectively.
